NK Art Advisory is an independent art consultancy based in Dubai, working across contemporary art advisory, cultural strategy, and curatorial projects.
With a particular focus on artists and cultural developments in the Gulf, the practice works with private collectors, family offices, businesses, and cultural institutions. Its work spans acquisitions, artist commissions, and strategic cultural mandates, across both individual projects and longer-term engagements.
Combining industry knowledge, longstanding regional experience, and a research-led approach, every engagement is shaped around the specific needs and objectives of each client.
Meet Nicole
Nicole Kanne is a Dubai-based art consultant, working across art advisory, cultural strategy, and curatorial projects in the Gulf.
She began her career at cultural communications consultancy Bolton & Quinn in London, before relocating to Dubai in 2016, where she held full-time positions at Art Dubai and Brunswick Arts.
In 2021, she established her independent consultancy, working with private, institutional, and government clients across the region, including as an associate consultant on larger-scale projects in creative industry planning, arts strategy development, and public art strategies for clients in Abu Dhabi, Riyadh, Jeddah, and AlUla.
Nicole holds a Master’s degree in History of Art from the University of Cambridge, a Diploma in Museum Studies from the École du Louvre in Paris, and a Bachelor’s degree in History of Art from the University of Vienna.
“With a background in art history and previous work experience in public relations, I have always been interested in how audiences approach, understand, and engage with art.
The Gulf, with its myriad perspectives, cultural diversity, and ambitious, future-facing developments is one of the most fascinating regions in the world in which to explore these questions. At the same time, its dynamic cultural scene also means that audiences and institutions increasingly need guidance on how to navigate this space.
